However, the evolution of the surgical approach, from open to minimally invasive surgery (MIS), has substantially improved patient outcomes by reducing perioperative complications, pain, and length of hospitalization.[1]

Methods: Two hundred patients candidate for hysterectomy for benign gynecological diseases during this study period were randomly devided into 2 equal groups based on approach of hystrectomy either laparoscopic or abdominal, comparison between both groups as regared intra & post operative details was done .

Results:The differences between the two groups regarding hospital stay, postoperative pain score & patient satisfaction were statistically significant in favor of TLH group .

Conclusion: Laparoscopic hysterectomy is preferred over traditional abdominal hysterectomy in terms of less intraoperative blood loss, shorter hospital stay, less risk of wound complications, faster recovery and more patient satisfaction.
